A former “Survivor” producer convicted of murdering his wife is back home in Southern California following his release from a Mexican prison.
Bruce Beresford-Redman was set free about two months ago from the Quintana Roo jail where he spent the last seven and a half years, KTLA-TV reported Monday.
The 48-year-old had no comment when reporters with the station approached him outside his home in Gardenia, where he’s been living with his mother and two children.
The ex-reality TV producer was convicted of beating and strangling his 41-year-old wife Monica Beresford-Redman in 2010 during a family vacation.
Her naked body was found in a sewer pipe near the Cancun-area resort where the family was staying, on what would have been her 42nd birthday.
Bruce, who maintained his innocence, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
His former attorney, Jaime Cancino, told KNBC-TV that prisoners in Mexico are eligible for release after serving 60 percent of their sentence.
